In order to run for the Board, interested parties must notify the SPCWD office by the third (3rd) Wednesday in August at 740-347-9030. -Southern Perry County Water currently has five (5) employees which consists of a water Superintendent/operator, a water operator, a clerk, a meter reader/ grounds maintenance, and an attorney.

-Southern Perry County Water District reads the meters monthly. Bills are sent out on the 1st of every month (unless the 1st falls on a weekend). Bills are due by the 20th of every month. A 10% penalty is added after the 20th on any unpaid balance. Shut off letters are sent to each customer who is 30 days delinquent. If your water service is terminated, it will cost $50 plus the total amount that is due on your account to have your service reinstated.

-Current price for a new water tap is $1800.00.

-Southern Perry County Water District highly recommends that every home has a water shut off valve that can turn the water off to the entire home. This could prevent damage to your home in case you have a leak.

-Southern Perry County Water District highly recommends that every home has a pressure regulator installed on your end of the water line going into your home. SPCWD has regulators in some of the pits but if our regulator would go bad, yours would be a back up which would prevent you from having too much pressure in your lines.

BOIL ORDER
AS OF 09/21/2017
THE BOIL ORDER THAT WAS IN EFFECT FOR THE MOXAHALA AREA HAS BEEN LIFTED. WE ARE CURRENTLY UNDER NO ADVISORIES.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________

WHEN SOUTHERN PERRY WATER CUSTOMERS ARE UNDER A BOIL ADVISORY DUE TO A WATER MAIN BREAK, THIS IS JUST A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE. IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOUR WATER IS CONTAMINATED. WE ARE SUGGESTING THAT ANY WATER USED FOR DRINKING, COOKING OR ORAL HYGIENE BE BOILED VIGOROUSLY FOR AT LEAST ONE MINUTE BECAUSE THE POSSIBILITY OF A CONTAMINATION COULD EXIST.  SOME CUSTOMERS MAY EXPERIENCE LOW PRESSURE OR NO PRESSURE AT ALL.
WE ASSURE YOU THAT THIS WATER DISTRICT WILL MAKE THE REPAIRS AND COLLECT THE WATER SAMPLES NEEDED TO HAVE THE PROBLEM CORRECTED AS SOON AS IT POSSIBLY CAN BE. IT  WILL BE POSTED AS SOON AS THE ADVISORY IS LIFTED

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND; SOUTHERN PERRY WATER DISTRICT HAS NUMEROUS CUSTOMERS AND 5 DIFFERENT SYSTEMS. SOME PEOPLE MAY HEAR OF A BOIL ORDER OF SOUTHERN PERRY'S AND JUST ASSUME THEY ARE INCLUDED IN THE ADVISORY. IF YOU WERE NEVER WITHOUT WATER THEN CHANCES ARE YOU ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE ADVISORY. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE IF YOU'RE INCLUDED, FEEL FREE TO CALL THE OFFICE OR CHECK OUT THIS WEBSITE OR OUR FACEBOOK PAGE FOR THE EXACT LOCATION OF THE ADVISORY.
